I want to set up a connection to tectia server using mft event6.1.9 with rsa key.My RSA key is already generated but not through tectia.

Right My rsa key is not able place under user authentication/key and certification list in MFT Event 6.1.9.Could you please help how can i upload my rsa key on to server.

I have approached another way.

I have generated new key and tried to upload on to server. But whenever I am trying to upload my key , I have been asking for password. Do I need to provide password firstime while setting up public key authentication.

Yes, when you're uploading the key for the first time you will need to authenticate using some alternative authentication method, such as password.

However once the key has been uploaded, subsequent connections should be able to authenticate using that public key, assuming:

  1. Public key authentication is enabled on both the client and the server
  2. Public-key authentication is configured before other authentication methods in the client
  3. The permissions on the key are secure (only read access to your account)

If after uploading the public key to the server it still does not work, I would recommend checking the server logs for any error messages.
