Are you trying to us public key authentication for the server that is asking for a password?

What steps have you taken already to setup the user key auth? Have you copied the public key to the server under the users key directory.

We are going to need more details in order to trouble shoot anything. Like product your using on the client and server side (open ssh, and other products have different setting then the ssh dot com/Tectia product.)

Debug logs from the server might be required as well. But you may want to clean the logs of any actual IP's, usernames, etc because this is a public forum.
