We are encountering a 1 Hour termination of an application running on a PC. The environment is : An enterprise COBOL application, a Tectia SSH Server, Virtual PC’s on a Network running a Terminal Emulator to access the COBOL application through an SSH layer. The Terminal Emulator is being closed after 1 Hour of no Keystroke activity. The Terminal Emulator is sending a KeepAlive message every 5 seconds. What is causing the TIMEOUT to occur exactly in one hour of no keyboard activity? Where are the settings placed for the 1 Hour TIMEOUT?

Its possibly that the Emulator can't handle the Rekey Interval. Be default on Tectia servers that is set to 1 hr. The setting for Windows can be seen here

It could also be the idle time out if that was changed from the default.
