My version of Tectia was updated to under Win7, and when restarting the application, my established profiles that I had in the profiles tab are now missing. If they are stored as separate files, do I need to repoint the directory somehow? I have noticed that my ssh-broker-config.xml would update when I created a new test profile, as well as the 1.ssh2 file would now show a new date modified entry.

I have already gone into Control Panel > Programs and rebuilt Tectia, if that matters.

The profiles are stored in the broker config file, which is why you noticed it changing. They are stored in the <profiles> element. If you have a backup copy of the file, you can edit it to include that element from the old version. (It's possible the upgrade made a copy of the file before it changed it, so you might check the \Application Data\SSH directory (or whatever it's called under Win7) to look for a backup file there.)

Note that you will probably have to restart the broker process after modifying this file. And also, be sure to have a backup copy of the current version before doing anything to it!

Hi Jason,

From what version were you upgrading from?

Can you try View->"Reset toolbars" from the menu and see if that solves the problem?

I have two version of SSH installed for some reason, installed on 19 March, and installed on 5 March. I got this new laptop on 5 March. The SSH update was on 19 March

I had done a repair on the yesterday, but no change. I then noticed the dates of the installs, so an older version of SSH was pushed out for some reason.

I copied over a backup of my ssh-broker-config.xml into place, but got additional broker errors.

After issuing a repair on SSH from the Control Panel, my profiles recovered.

I'm letting my admins know that they're pushing a downgraded version
